Hi, I’m Ashley Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Seattle + online
I help people untangle the patterns that keep them stuck, on their own, as a couple, or as a family.

I believe therapy is, at its heart, a relationship. My hope is to offer a space where you can arrive as you are—whether you are coming on your own, with a partner, or as a family—and feel met with warmth, curiosity, and care.
As a systems therapist, I specialize in recognizing patterns that are keeping you stuck—relationally or otherwise.
Together, using evidence-based treatments, we will challenge self-doubts, gain clarity around your behaviors, and practice the tools you need to succeed.
I’ll meet your concerns with compassion, curiosity, & the steady belief that you are worth understanding.
I am deeply interested in understanding the relational side of our work: the experiences, patterns, values, identities, and important relationships that have shaped your life. Rather than seeing challenges as something located within one person, I pay attention to the larger story—how family relationships, attachment experiences, life transitions, and the environments around you may be influencing what feels difficult right now.
Together, we can slow down, make sense of what you are carrying, and explore new ways of relating to yourself and the people you love. Whether you are navigating conflict, disconnection, changes in your family, or the effects of past experiences, I approach our work with compassion and a belief in each person’s capacity for growth and healing.
As your therapist, I am interested in knowing who you are, the whole person. This means learning about who and what is important to you, your goals, and everything in between. This supports our work in building towards the areas you want to change because it helps me understand you within the context of your life.
What you’re seeking is attainable with the right set of skills, and a licensed professional to support you.

I’m not on insurance panels, but I’ll give you a superbill and help you work out out-of-network reimbursement. Sliding-scale fees are available for those who qualify, so please ask.
I require a credit or debit card on file in order to schedule sessions. Your card on file will be charged automatically for your portion of your session fee. The session fee is due at time of service.
You will be provided a Superbill for your appointment that can be used to submit a claim. You may be able to get reimbursed for out of network services. It depends on your provider and plan.
You have the option of using a third party service to do this work for you. Reimbursify is a service that charges a few dollars to do this labor for you.
State insurance, otherwise known as Medicaid (“Apple Health” in Washington), never reimburses for out of network behavioral health services.
If you have out-of-network benefits, you may seek reimbursement if you wish. I do this by providing you with a “superbill”.
This is a monthly receipt that shows what services you received and the amount you’ve already spent. Clients submit claims for reimbursement with their insurance company.
The process for claim submission is different for each plan. Please contact your insurance to find out how you can submit superbills (as opposed to single session claims). You do this by calling the number on the back of your insurance card.
You can pay for your therapy with Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). However, you technically are not supposed to use these cards for missed appointments.
A set number of reduced-fee slots are held open at all times. Ask when you reach out—if they’re full I’ll tell you honestly and help you look elsewhere.
New federal laws help protect consumers from surprise medical bills. The No Surprises Act is part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, and is designed to protect clients from receiving unexpected medical bills.
Multiply your weekly therapy cost by 45 (the amount of weeks I work in the year) and you will arrive at your annual estimated therapy cost.
The “Good Faith Estimate” is meant to give an idea of what you’ll be charged, prior to beginning services.
A free one-hour first session so we can meet, talk about what brings you to therapy, and see whether working together feels right—no cost, no obligation to continue. It is okay to ask for help when things feel hard, even you!
If you’re in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please call or text 988 or go to your nearest emergency room. I can’t respond to emergencies by phone or email.
